One down, one more to go…

Chelsea finally completed the signing of Moises Caicedo last night, but the Blues have shown no slowing down in the summer transfer window and Romeo Lavia is expected to follow him through the doors at Stamford Bridge!

The west London outfit have faced tough competition from Liverpool in the race to sign the Southampton star. However, Lavia has decided to snub the Reds in favour of a move to Chelsea, who are in the early stages of an exciting project led by Mauricio Pochettino.

In other news, Michael Olise continues to be linked with a switch. It remains to be seen whether the Blues will push for the Crystal Palace playmaker’s signature but, with Christopher Nkunku injured, a new attacking midfielder could be needed.

Caicedo message

Moises Caicedo has penned a letter to Brighton fans on social media following his transfer to Chelsea. The 21-year-old midfielder wrote: “Dear Brighton fans! Today I close an unforgettable chapter in my life. Since my first steps in Europe, you showered me with love and support.

“In every match, in every minute on the pitch, I felt your cheers and energy. We achieved a lot together. How can I forget our qualification for the UEFA Europa League! This achievement belongs to all, each of my teammates, and to you, who were always there.

“Being chosen as the best player of the season is an honor I share with every team member. The time has come to face new challenges, but I want you to know that my love for this club and for all of you remains intact. I will always be a Seagull at heart, carrying with pride the fact of having been part of this family.

“Thank you for everything, Brighton! We’ll see you on the journey. @OfficialBHAFC With affection, Moisés Caicedo.”
