Arsenal have already signed Kai Havertz, Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and David Raya this summer… but Mikel Arteta’s business isn’t done just yet.

The Gunners are expected to sell or loan out a number of players before the transfer window slams shut. Kieran Tierney, Rob Holding, Cedric Soares, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Folarin Balogun, Nuno Tavares and Nicolas Pepe could all leave the Emirates.

Yet Arteta is determined to keep hold of Gabriel Magalhaes, despite starting him from the bench against Crystal Palace in their most recent outing. Teams in Saudi Arabia and Real Madrid are thought to be interested in signing the Brazilian defender.

Malouda’s bold top-four prediction

Florent Malouda believes that Arsenal will miss out on the top-four alongside Manchester United – despite winning their first two Premier League matches.

He told Betway: “I think Chelsea will struggle to get in the top-four – but I think they’ll still do it. Manchester City are above all teams in the league, then I would pick Liverpool, Newcastle and Chelsea after that.

“It’s a transition season for them, but I’d pick them over Man Utd. To make it in the top-four now is very difficult. City will be champions again.”
