Claressa Shields and Lauren Price are the only two women to have won Olympic middleweight gold medals so far; Shields and Price are now professional world champions operating in different weight divisions but the American star can see a super-fight with Price taking place down the line

Claressa Shields is a unique fighter. An undisputed champion, she is a multi-weight titlist who has also competed in MMA and who will go for a title in a fourth division later this month.

She will challenge Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse for the WBC heavyweight championship in Detroit.

The Olympic middleweight gold medal has only been won by two women, Shields in 2012 and 2016, and most recently Wales’ Lauren Price, who triumphed at the Tokyo Games.

Price dropped down to welterweight after the Olympics and is only seven bouts into her professional career, but has won the inaugural women’s British title and the WBA world title already.

The Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight has left the internet buzzing for various reasons. While the fans are excited about this ultimate clash at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, they are also worried about Tyson. It’s due to the recent health issue the former heavyweight champion is going through.

A few months ago, Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up, which delayed the fight from July 20 to November 15. Even though ‘Iron’ has received a medical green light, he is almost 60. Entering into the ring against a 27-year-old is still very risky. The fandom unanimously shares a feeling of concern. Even Tim Welch, head coach and cornerman of UFC fighter Sean O’Malley, was worried and speculated a ‘no-knockout’ clause for the sake of Tyson’s well-being.

Tim Welch’s bizarre speculation

On his latest Red Hawk Recap podcast episode, Welch sat down with Joe Riggs and his other friends to discuss various topics. During the episode, he mentioned that on November 15, his entire group would watch the Mike Tyson-Jake Paul fight, followed by a huge sigh. “Hopefully we don’t see a death there,” stated Welch, with a worried look on his face.

They were glad that both boxers would use the 14-ounce gloves, which would subdue the blow of the punches substantially. “I believe yeah I hope supposedly they have bigger gloves on which is good uh I just hope Mike Tyson doesn’t get hurt,” stated Riggs.

That is when Warlike jumped in and suggested that there might be a no-knockout clause in the contract. Please note, it’s Netflix’s first boxing live event stream. “Because if Netflix is trying to acquire that, they’re not going to try and acquire a one-minute fight of Jake Paul knocking out Mike Tyson. I’m just saying from a perspective,” stated Warlike.

A former British boxing champion opened up on an act that proved Anthony Joshua is an incredibly classy operator.

Kevin Mitchell, who won the British super featherweight title and the Commonwealth title in his 12-year professional boxing career, tragically lost his younger brother, Vinny, in 2019.

Vinny, who was also a boxer, died aged 31 when his motorcycle collided with a tree.

The tragic loss left Mitchell and his family devastated but it also had a significant financial aspect on them, too.

With Mitchell retired as a boxer, the family was under serious financial pressure to foot the bill for the funeral as well as continue their mortgage payments.

But just one phone call later and one of those financial headaches had vanished thanks to Joshua’s incredible generosity.

In an interview with Josh James, Mitchell revealed Joshua’s heart-warming gesture.

“He had so much pressure on him and let me tell you something – I’ve not said this to anyone before on podcast – but he paid for my brother’s funeral,” Mitchell revealed.

James asked Mitchell if Joshua’s kind act was because he knew the brothers, the 39-year-old responded: “Both. He knew my brother, he knew me, he knew my mum.

The two are never shy of speaking out

The relationship between boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis once seemed unbreakable. Often compared to a father-son dynamic, the bond they shared has since unraveled. Tension surfaced when Davis accused Mayweather of banning him from his gym during training for his 2023 showdown against Ryan Garcia. Though Davis officially parted ways with Mayweather Promotions in 2022, Mayweather publicly claimed he had no hard feelings. But soon after, Davis began openly criticizing his former mentor, accusing him of unresolved financial issues in Dubai. The situation has only escalated since then, with both sides throwing subtle jabs at each other.

Now, as Davis continues to shine in the ring, his coaches are speaking out about Mayweather’s actions and raising concerns over his decision to reportedly bar Davis from his training facility at such a critical time.

Coaches Demand Answers from Mayweather

Davis’ trainer Calvin Ford, along with assistant coach Kenny Ellis, recently voiced their frustrations in a video shared on Ford‘s Instagram. Ellis didn’t hold back, questioning Mayweather’s motives: “If Tank is like a son to Floyd, why would you put him out of the gym? Biggest fight of his career and you ban him. Why? Did you want him to lose?” The tone was unmistakably frustrated, as the coaches painted a picture of betrayal.

Ford echoed similar concerns, describing the emotional complexity of the relationship. He recounted a conversation with Mayweather where the boxing legend denied having blocked Davis from using the gym. However, both coaches remained adamant that Mayweather needed to be held accountable. Ellis went as far as to challenge the media to ask Mayweather directly about his motives: “I would love for the media to ask him, ‘What was on your mind when you put Tank out of the gym?'”

Despite the tension, Ford also saw a silver lining. Reflecting on the incident, he noted, “It was a lesson within a lesson. What felt negative was actually positive. Tank worked harder, and the results showed.” That hard work paid off when Davis knocked out Ryan Garcia in the 7th round, securing his status as one of the sport’s elite fighters.

What Lies Ahead for Gervonta Davis

With Davis riding high on his success, he is set to defend his WBA title against Lamont Roach Jr. on December 14 at the Toyota Center in Houston. Roach, holding a 25-1-1 record, poses a significant challenge. Meanwhile, Davis continues to build on his undefeated 30-0 streak, with his most recent victory being a knockout against Frank Martin in June.

Legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. is reportedly making a massive investment in apartment buildings located primarily in the upper Manhattan area of New York City.

According to TMZ Sports, Mayweather purchased more than 60 buildings featuring over 1,000 units at an overall price of $402 million.

It is reportedly Mayweather’s goal to provide affordable housing for families that are struggling financially, and he offered the following statement to TMZ: “Growing up I used to dream about owning just one home by myself, when you work hard you can achieve anything.”

The 47-year-old Mayweather is one of the greatest and most financially successful boxers of all time, as he went a perfect 50-0 in his career, beating big names such as Manny Pacquiao, Canelo Álvarez, Oscar De La Hoya, Juan Manuel Márquez, Shane Mosley and Arturo Gatti.

Per ESPN’s Nick Parkinson, Mayweather vs. Pacquiao generated $600 million in 2015, and Mayweather earned an estimated $250 million.

Forbes’ Kurt Badenhausen reported that Mayweather then earned $275 million for fighting UFC star Conor McGregor in 2017, bringing Mayweather’s career earnings over $1 billion.

While Mayweather has not competed in an official fight since 2017, he has taken part in several exhibitions, including bouts with current WWE Superstar Logan Paul and John Gotti III.

Mayweather is also the founder of Mayweather Promotions, which has signed and promoted several notable boxers since its inception in 2007.

Mayweather has found ways to keep the money rolling in even in retirement from professional boxing, giving him the ability to make a massive real estate purchase.

Floyd Mayweather has been known to flaunt his wealth, but he remarkably spent $18million on one item.

Mayweather has become one of the world’s biggest sporting superstars, with his skills in the boxing ring seeing him retire with a perfect professional record of 50 wins.

The American became one of the sport’s biggest ever pay-per-view draws and headlined the biggest events, resulting in the legend pocketing a remarkable $1.2billion in total earnings.

During his career and since his retirement, Mayweather has been living a plush lifestyle buying a whole host of properties, luxury items and making other investments.

But one of his most expensive purchases ever came on an incredible luxury watch, a passion which he has shared with his fans for several years.

In 2018, Mayweather revealed that he had picked up a new ‘Billionaire Watch’ to add to his incredible collection, for the small price of $18m.

The custom-made timepiece was first revealed in 2015, and is made by luxury jewellers Jacob & Co.

Incredibly, the watch is made of emerald-cut diamonds to a total of 260 carats, with each single stone weighing a monstrous 3 carats.

It’s bracelet to hold the clock face in place also has 18 carats, and the watch is one-of-a-kind, the only version of this model to exist on the planet.

Floyd Mayweather

The watch ranks as one of the most expensive to have ever been purchased in the world, and its worth puts it alongside some of Mayweather’s biggest-ever investments.

He bought the watch off of jeweller Tadashi Fukushima and it is considered the prized possession of his collection.

Mayweather posted an image of his new purchase for fans to see six years ago, while showing off his crazy amount of jewellery he already owns.

Floyd Mayweather always finds a way to flaunt his fortune in a ridiculous way that leaves everyone else speechless. A few weeks ago, he put his 8-year-old Beverly Hills mansion on the market for a jaw-dropping $48 million, and just weeks later, he was back flaunting his lavish lifestyle, this time aboard his brand-new private jet, “Air Mayweather 2.”

On Wednesday, the retired boxing legend took to Instagram to share a glimpse of his extravagant jet, showing off its luxurious features while making it clear that his love for opulence is as strong as ever.

Reunion with an old pal

The Instagram story featured the 5’8 feet former boxer in his ‘Air Mayweather 2’ flaunting two huge big wads of cash. Not only that, he also gave fans a tour of the jet’s customizable interior lights, cycling through four different lighting setups at his request. There were 4 light changes before he took his attention to someone sitting behind him.

Floyd Mayweather took the cash towards him and urged every fighter in the world to follow the man now standing beside him. The mystery guest was none other than Richard Schaefer“I need every fighter, everyone in the world, all the MMA, boxers, follow this man right here,” stated Floyd Mayweather.

For those who are unaware, Floyd Mayweather and Richard Schafer have a long history together. Schaefer was the CEO of Golden Boy Promotions when Floyd Mayweather fought some nine fights under GBP. The promotion as well as Schaefer played a very important role in shaping Mayweather’s later career after he broke off from Bob Arum’s Top Rank. Golden Boy Promotions under the helm of Schaefer was responsible for many big matches in his career, notably against Canelo Alvarez, Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley, and Marcos Maidana.

In 2014, Schafer parted ways with the Golden Boys and opened his own promotional company, Ringstar Sports. After Schaefer’s exit, Floyd Mayweather too cut his ties with Golden Boy Promotions. So it’s not surprising that when Leonard Ellerbe left Mayweather Promotions in June, Floyd Mayweather brought in the one man he wanted running his company, Richard Schaefer. And now, Schaefer is leading Mayweather Promotions. Hence, the high praise from Mayweather.

Mayweather’s endorsement of Schaefer likely reflects their ongoing professional ties, particularly as Mayweather continues to involve himself in lucrative ventures.

Floyd Mayweather’s $48 million move

As if his luxury jet wasn’t enough, he has also listed his Beverly Hills mansion for sale at a staggering $48 million, as mentioned earlier. He purchased the French-style property back in 2017 for $25 million following his victory over Canelo Alvarez. Over the years, Floyd Mayweather invested in high-end renovations, reportedly spending $500,000 on upgrades that include lavish chandeliers, mirrored fireplaces, and a state-of-the-art kitchen.

The 15,096 square-foot mansion, listed by ‘Mansion Global’, for a whopping price of $48 million boasts six bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and multiple entertainment rooms, providing every conceivable luxury for potential buyers. Even if Mayweather sells the mansion for less than the asking price, he stands to make a substantial profit of close to $20 million, further padding his already impressive net worth.

Floyd Mayweather

Mayweather’s ability to turn his wealth into even greater fortune is undeniable. Whether it’s selling a mansion for a multi-million-dollar profit or flying in a private jet outfitted with every possible luxury, the former world champion remains a master at both flaunting and growing his fortune. As he continues to expand his business empire, fans can only speculate what other extravagant purchases Floyd Mayweather might show off next.

Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson are two of boxing’s biggest names from the past 40 years.

Tyson reigned as heavyweight champion throughout the 80s and 90s, defeating the likes of Michael Spinks, Larry Holmes, Frank Bruno and Tony Tucker.

Mayweather was a five-weight world champion and became the biggest box office draw in the sport, with his 2015 clash with Manny Pacquiao dubbed ‘The Fight of The Century’ and generated a record 4.6 million PPV buys.

Many onlookers believe that a prime ‘Iron Mike’ would come out on top against most heavyweights, and Mayweather has now had his say on that theory.

Speaking to Mail Sport Boxing, he was asked to judge how certain match-ups would unfold, with Tyson included in the list, but Mayweather felt the boxing legend would come unstuck against one former world champion – Vitali Klitschko.

Klitschko retired with a record of 45-2, with 41 of those wins coming by knockout, and made 12 defences of the world heavyweight title.

Floyd mayweather

Injury forced him to leave the sport in 2004, before returning from a four-year absence in 2008 to defeat Samuel Peter for the WBC crown, with Vitali and his brother Wladimir ruling the heavyweight scene for a long period.

As for Tyson, his focus is currently on his controversial bout with Youtuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, with the two men set to meet at the AT&T Stadium in Texas on November 15.

It will be the first live boxing event to be broadcast on Netflix, and Paul’s last opponent has no doubt who will come out on top.

Tyson Fury is gearing up in attempt to avenge the first loss of his professional career, handed to him by Oleksandr Usyk earlier this year.

The first battle for the undisputed heavyweight crown in over two decades lived up to its billing, with Usyk starting strong but giving way to Fury’s momentum in the middle rounds.

The Ukrainian, as he has done many times before, found another level late on and scored a 10-8 round after battering the Brit around the ring. It was enough to earn him a split decision on the scorecards to become a four-belt champion in a second division.

Fury has said he took his eye off the ball, though still believes he deserved the nod on the cards, and has assured fans he will right the wrong on December 21 when they run it back in Saudi Arabia. One great boxing mind who believes him is Shakur Stevenson, three-weight world champion and defensive master.

Speaking on social media, Stevenson backed the bigger man.

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk

“I got Fury in the rematch, whoever wanna bet some bread on it hit my line. As long as he in dog shape it’s gone be easy! … Usyk is one of the greatest I ever seen to be honest, but if Tyson Fury is in tip top shape and locked in I got him for sure.”

The second fight will not be for the undisputed championship after Usyk vacated the IBF belt. That was then given to Daniel Dubois, who defended it in emphatic fashion against Anthony Joshua – two men the Ukrainian soundly beat on his way to the history books.

Joshua was knocked down four times just days after speeding near Brighton, on the UK’s south coast.

Anthony Joshua revealed he feared he could be banned from driving just days before suffering a humiliating defeat to Daniel Dubois in their all-British IBF Heavyweight title clash at Wembley Stadium.

The ex-unified two-time champion was knocked down four times in front of 98,000 people on Saturday as the 34-year-old’s career took another damaging hit, figuratively and literally, in London.

But it could have been so much worse for the 2012 Olympic gold medalist if a court judge had ruled slightly differently and stripped him of his driving license just days prior to the clash, with the 6ft 6in boxer blaming his offense on training fatigue.

Joshua was ultimately fined $1561.10, a drop in the ocean of his estimated net worth of around $80 million dollars, but it’s suspected he may not have known about the outcome of the legal situation before his Wembley ring walk.

He claimed he sped on May 29 because he was tired after travelling to very remote locations in order to train for his clash with Dubois on September 22, after being served the

“I fully accept responsibility for my actions on May 29, 2024 and deeply regret my failure to adhere to the speed limits,” Joshua said in a letter to Hastings Court. “I understand the importance of road safety and am fully aware of the potential consequences of speeding, not only for myself but also for other road users.”

Joshua‘s letter continued: “I am a professional athlete, currently in the middle of a very intense training camp. My schedule has been extremely demanding, and I was traveling to or from a training session at the time and date of the offense.

“The physical and mental fatigue from my training may have clouded my judgment, leading to this lapse in concentration.”

Anthony Joshua

What speed did Joshua do?

PC Benjamin Dean of Sussex Police pulled his Range Rover over shortly after 21:00 and later told Hastings Magistrates Court it was not the first time the Brit had been caught and punished for speeding.

The ex-champion was clocked at going 44mph through a 30mph limited zone by Sussex Police in Lewes on the A26, approximately 58 miles away from London’s centre and around 83 miles away from Wembley Stadium.

“From conducting checks on the driving licence of Joshua,” Dean said. “I could see that they had three penalty points on their licence from a previous speeding offence.”
