Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority boss Turki Al-Sheikh has declared that he wants Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford soon but warned the Mexican not to overplay his hand regarding fight purses from the potential bout.

Crawford, aged 36, holds a perfect 40-0-0 with 31 KOs and has an exceptional reputation as a multi-weight champion whilst he is also the current WBA and WBO welterweight king after previously being undisputed before losing the IBF belt for contractual reasons.

Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford timeline: Will undisputed boxing champions fight one another in 2024? | Sporting News

Whilst Canelo, aged 34, is 65-2-2 with 39 KOs and has held belts in four boxing weight classes as well as becoming the only ever undisputed super-middleweight champion before he lost his IBF belt for contractual reasons. He is currently ranked as the fourth-best boxer pound-for-pound as a highly skilled counterpuncher.

So, a bout between the pair has been long anticipated and now Turki Al-Sheikh seems keen to make it happen as Saudi Arabia continues to become the dominant force in the modern boxing market, although there is a warning.

“I will give Canelo the price I think is fair. If he accepts it, he will deal directly with me to finalise the deal,” Al-Sheikh said, as per ESPN. “I don’t want anyone in the middle. I guaranteed Crawford a big fight.

“I want Canelo for Crawford, and Crawford wants Canelo but if Canelo goes crazy [with his financial demands], I’ll still guarantee Crawford any fight he wants.”

When could Canelo vs Crawford happen?

The mouth-watering fight between two highly-skilled, very durable, very intelligent and exceptionally proven boxers will have to wait until 2025 due to current obligations for the pair in 2024.

Crawford is due to fight at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on August 3 against Israil Madrimov for the WBA super-welterweight title, whilst Canelo will clash with Edgar Berlanga on September 14 in Las Vegas.

For Canelo, that would only leave 10 weeks to recover and prepare a training camp to face Crawford in 2024, which is too tall an order even for someone with his reputation and legacy in boxing.

PARIS — With many from around the world giving Rafael Nadal his proverbial flowers at these Summer Olympics, the famed tennis champion tried convincing them Saturday night his career is far from over.

After putting on a strong, energetic and, at times, vintage performance in the opening round of men’s doubles matches at Roland Garros, Nadal hinted that he doesn’t think the book on his longtime rivalry with fellow Grand Slam champ Novak Djokovic is about to close.

Asked if he was ready for a potential “last dance” with Djokovic in singles competition during the Olympics, Nadal had a quick quip.

Where does Rafael Nadal vs Novak Djokovic stand among tennis' greatest ever rivalries?

“Who say that’s last dance?” he said.

Nadal, who is representing Spain at the Olympics, made the comment to English-speaking media in the postmatch mixed zone following the 7-6(4), 6-4 victory he and doubles partner Carlos Alcaraz posted over Argentina’s Andres Molteni and Maximo Gonzalez.

The comment came moments after Nadal had also expressed uncertainty about even playing in Sunday’s opening-round singles competition against Hungary’s Marton Fucsovics.

According to The Associated Press, Nadal said: “I don’t know if I’m going to play or not.”

He added that he wanted to consult with his team after Saturday’s action “and then make the smartest decision possible to have the best chances to bring [a] medal back home.”

But if Nadal is going to bring back a medal for singles play — let alone face Djokovic for a 60th career time — he will have to play Sunday. A win over Fucsovics would advance Nadal into a second-round match against Djokovic on Monday or Tuesday.

Earlier Saturday, Djokovic, who is representing his native Serbia, said he was excited about their potential final meeting.

“If we get to face each other, it’s going to be possibly the last time we’re going to face each other on a big stage,” Djokovic said. “So I’m sure that people would enjoy it. I’m looking forward to it, and I’ll be ready for that matchup.”

Djokovic leads the all-time head-to-head series, 30-29. If he and Nadal square off in the second round, it would mark their earliest meeting at any main draw at a tour-level event.

The last time they faced each other, Nadal beat Djokovic in four sets in a 2022 French Open quarterfinal that lasted more than four hours. Nadal went on to win that Open to claim his 14th victory on the very clay courts hosting Olympics competition.

“Playing him is like finals, in any tournament,” Djokovic said. “Particularly here, knowing what he has achieved and what he’s done for our sport, but particularly here at Roland Garros, his record speaks for itself.”

In Saturday’s match, Nadal and Alcaraz played supporting yet starring roles. From the moment the pair walked onto the closed-roof courts during introductions, many in the crowd voiced vociferous support for them.

Rafael Nadal vs Novak Djokovic head-to-head and best matches

At least twice during breaks in game play, the heavily Spanish crowd erupted in chants of “Rafa! Rafa! Rafa!”

“[It was] an emotional night, an electrifying night, amazing crowd,” Nadal said. “To play with Carlos on this court has been so special. I’m just super happy about the victory. It gives us a chance to keep going.”

Regularly, the pair took moments between games to talk strategy. The veteran Nadal wasn’t always the one leading the discussions, either.

One of multiple non-French athletes to participate in the torch relay portion of Friday night’s Opening Ceremonies, Nadal has long been considered the king of Spanish tennis. Just as he nears the eventual end of his storied career, Alcaraz, 24, has stormed the world stage, appearing to be the heir to Nadal’s throne after winning four majors in the past three years.

In part because of Alcaraz’s rapid ascent, Nadal wanted to play doubles with him in Paris. But does playing with his longtime hero put pressure on Alcaraz?

“No pressure, but nerves,” Alcaraz said. “A lot.”

The pair have been linked together since 2019, two years after the boxer retired as a pro

Floyd Mayweather Jr. splashing the cash and justifying his nickname ‘Money’ is a usual sight. The visuals of him roaming around with a bundle of cash in his hands is something the fans are used to. However, this time, the former American boxer has the fans bamboozled, as he got his girlfriend the biggest Louis Vuitton bag, while they spent some time away on a lavish vacation.

Mayweather Jr., 47, is currently on vacation with his girlfriend, Gallienne Nabila, in France. While he is away from the limelight, he is keeping his fans up to date with his vacation highlights. The fans could spot him spending some time on the French Riviera and holding some dollar bills on a yacht. The YouTube channel ‘All Urban Central’ gave more insights into their vacation, as it shared some clips collected from the internet.

In a 2-minute long YT video, the fans could witness the pair exploring Monaco first, with Nabila wearing a watch that has a price tag of $190, 000, whereas Mayweather Jr. himself donned a black watch that costs about $80,000. The YT video also showed them carrying a white Louis Vuitton bag while exploring the scenic outdoors with their entourage. It appears the boxer-turned-promoter’s daughter, Jirah Milan, had also accompanied them on the trip.

In the video, you could spot Mayweather Jr. holding a large brown LV bag, the Steamer 65 Monogram, which the video suggested he had bought for his supermodel girlfriend. The same bag found its way to the boxer’s Instagram handle as well, where he shared some snaps with it. The caption read, “This video and photo explains the kind of bags I’m getting!!”

The pair have been together since 2019. They try to keep their relationship hidden from the public eye. But they occasionally seize headlines for some incidents, such as Mayweather Jr. gifting Nabila a Mercedes Maybach on her birthday in 2022. It seems expensive gifts are a running theme between the duo, which the fans are also trying to make sense of.

The fans get candid with Mayweather Jr.’s expensive gift

One fan lent his support to the show of wealth by ‘Pretty Boy’ in the comments section of the YouTube video, as they believed he had earned it. Notably, Mayweather Jr. has crossed $1.1 billion in career earnings, and his net worth in 2024 stands at $450 million. They declared, “Fruits of labor! Show’m champ…you earned it!”

However, one user hilariously drew an imaginative scenario of the pair getting involved in a fight where Mayweather Jr. could ask for his fancy gift back. They theorized, “He’ll take it right back when he gets mad at her.”

Someone, in a joking and comical tone, expressed that they could only spot Nabila’s makeup-heavy face in those clips, where she had gone live and recorded some messages for her 1.6 million followers on Instagram. They announced, “All I see is makeup and a hand out.”

Lastly, a comment referred to the beef between Gervonta Davis and Mayweather Jr., where ‘Tank’ had floated a rumor that the latter was stuck in Dubai for non-payment of debts. The comment read, “I thought he was broke, according to Genvote. He wasn’t allowed to leave Dubai, what happened ?”

Mayweather Jr. and Nabila are still in Cannes, enjoying some time to themselves, as hinted by their Instagram stories. This might be the much-needed break for the former world champion, as he prepares for his upcoming exhibition fight rematch with John Gotti III on August 24.

Tyson gave an insight into the current heavyweight division.

Mike Tyson broke down the current crop of elite heavyweight boxers, including Anthony Joshua, during a chat with Joe Rogan and it’s truly fascinating.

Tyson appeared on the ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ podcast in April 2022, and was asked to give his verdict on Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua.

He also gave his opinion on WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, as well as WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

Anthony Joshua on fighting Mike Tyson: He would have BATTERED me! | Boxing | Sport | Express.co.uk

Tyson went in-depth on all four fighters, and it’s the kind of analysis you wouldn’t hear from anyone else.

Deontay Wilder

On Wilder, he said: “Having a hard punch is like having a nuclear war, but it doesn’t serve any military value if it doesn’t land on his target.”

‘The Bronze Bomber’ suffered two consecutive defeats to Fury in 2020 and 2021, despite putting up a valiant effort in both fights.

After bouncing back with a KO win over Robert Helenius, Wilder then suffered a surprise defeat to Joseph Parker in December, where a win would likely have set up a showpiece fight with Anthony Joshua.

Anthony Joshua

Talking of Joshua, Tyson summarised: “He has never lost hope, he is still learning. That’s why he’s dangerous. Because he’s still f***ing learning.

“Joshua needs to pick up the pace, he’s got so much potential. He has got to turn those jabs into something. Joshua is no walk over. He’s going to have a beautiful life after boxing, he’s beautiful.”

Joshua is a two-time WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion, having lost the belts to Andy Ruiz Jr. in June 2019 before claiming them back the following December.

He slipped to a shock loss against Usyk in September and lost a rematch against him the following summer.

Joshua has since won his last three fights, including a fifth round stoppage of Otto Wallin in December last year.

Oleksandr Usyk

Tyson focused on Usyk’s performance in his first fight against Joshua in his analysis, stating: “Usyk is very hard to hit, he has that elite amateur level movement. It was too much for Joshua.”

After Rogan claimed that the Ukrainian moves like a lightweight, Tyson went on to suggest Wilder as a potential future opponent – although that fight seems a way away currently.

Usyk returned to his homeland of Ukraine in 2022 to help fight off invading forces from Russia.

Following a year’s inactivity after his second victory over Joshua, Usyk defeated Daniel Dubois via knockout in August, and is scheduled to fight Fury in February.

Tyson Fury

Last but not least was the self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’, and ‘Iron Mike’ spoke glowingly of the WBC heavyweight champion.

Tyson admitted: “It’s weird to take him seriously, because he’s so funny. He doesn’t take fighting seriously, he laughs at people, licking the blood. What’s wrong with this guy? You’ve got to be out of your mind.

“He would be a prophet in biblical times, how do you explain how good he is? They couldn’t explain that.”

Mayweather gave his verdict on the GOAT in the heavyweight division.

Floyd Mayweather Jr is regarded as one of boxing’s all-time greatest fighters and he has made some interesting choices when naming the sport’s best ever heavyweights in a new winner stays on list.

Mayweather is rightfully viewed as a true great of the sport, with his unique style yielding 50 wins in as many professional fights. The American ended his career unbeaten, with 27 of those victories coming via a knockout.

Floyd mayweather

Mayweather’s final professional bout came in 2017 when he fought Conor McGregor to claim his 50th victory with a technical knockout in the 10th round at the age of 40.

The now 47-year-old has had a series of exhibition bouts in recent years, which has included victories over Tenshin Nasukawa, Mikuru Asakura and Deji Olatunji, while he also faced Logan Paul in a non-judged bout.

When it comes to the greatest heavyweights of all-time, Mike Tyson is one of several names that immediately springs to mind.

Tyson had a total of 58 professional boxing bouts between 1985 and 2005 in a career which spanned three decades and came to a conclusion as he approached his 39th birthday.

In that time, Tyson chalked up 50 wins and experienced just six losses, with an astounding 44 victories on knockout as he demonstrated his stopping power in the ring.

Anthony Joshua has 28 wins in his 31 professional bouts so far in his career, with losses at the hands of Andy Ruiz Jr and twice against Oleksandr Usyk.

Money Mayweather recently shot a video with MailOnline and took part in the popular trend of ‘winner stays on’ choices of sportspeople.

And his picks in the heavyweight division have certainly raised a few eyebrows.

Floyd Mayweather‘

Mayweather opted for Frank Bruno ahead of Deontay Wilder, before selecting Tyson ahead of Bruno.

He then went for Vitali Klitschko over Tyson, before selecting Joshua ahead of the Ukrainian.

Joe Frazier got the nod by Mayweather next up ahead of AJ, who he also backed over Usyk.

He then went for Wladimir Klitschko ahead of Frazier in the next choice, before backing Tyson Fury ahead of the younger Klitschko brother.

Mayweather selected Lennox Lewis ahead of the Gypsy King, before choosing Lewis instead of Muhammad Ali in a controversial final decision.

Claressa Shields has challenged Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano to fight her and settle the greatest woman fighter of all time debate.

Shields, nicknamed the GWOAT and considered one of the world’s best boxers, male or female, aims to become a four-weight world champion on Saturday.

The undefeated American steps up to 12st 7lb (175lb) to fight for the WBC heavyweight title and WBO light-heavyweight belt.

Shields felt the referee should have stopped her fight against Ema Kozin as she won by unanimous decision

Speaking at a news conference before her fight in Detroit with Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse, Shields addressed her rivals.

“Any of those girls who want to be the GWOAT, all you got to do is make the fight with me,” she said.

“Alycia Baumgardner, Amanda Serrano, Katie Taylor – all you got to do is make the fight with me. Then I can show you, you’re not the GWOAT.”

Shields, 29, is undefeated in 14 pro fights and was the first fighter, male or female, to be undisputed champion in two weight classes in the four-belt era.

The two-time Olympic champion has been world champion at middleweight, light-middleweight and super-middleweight.

Irishwoman Taylor replicated Shields’ undisputed achievement last year, while Puerto Rico’s Amanda Serrano is a seven-weight world champion.

Claressa Shields Claims 'GWOAT' Status on a Big Night for Women's Boxing - The New York Times

“Everyone is talking about who’s the GWOAT? Who’s undefeated? Who got the most belts?,” Shields added.

“Who made the million dollars last couple of time she fought? Without a promoter giving her a handout? That’s what a GWOAT is. Who fights the best?

“Who don’t struggle in fights no matter what size? Exactly.

UPDATE:Davis and Shields have had a public disagreement in the past, with Davis making derogatory comments about Shields

“All that comparison about who the GWOAT is, I can go to any weight class and win. That’s who the GWOAT is.”

The WBC title Shields challenges for is classified as ‘heavyweight’ by the sanctioning body, but it is contested at the light-heavyweight limit of 12st 7lb (175lb), hence why the fight is being advertised as both at heavyweight and light-heavyweight.

The path is clear for Gervonta Davis and Shakur Stevenson to make an all-American lightweight unification fight.

Stevenson fought for the vacant WBC belt against Edwin De Los Santos and then defended it against Artem Harutyunyan, both wins coming comfortably over the distance but being criticised by some for being less than entertaining. Shakur hit back at the doubters by saying he would perform at his best when he faces the best.

What makes things simpler still is the fact that Stevenson has now entered a period of free agency after a long stint with promotional giant Top Rank. Head honcho Bob Arum, although he may not be involved in making it happen at this stage, predicted the fight earlier this year.

I like our guys to win the fight … All three would beat Davis. I really believe that … but that’s why they do the fights, right? Again, we’re open to any of that.”

‘Tank’s co-trainer, Kenny Ellis, recently said that the only way the fight won’t happen is down to fear on Stevenson’s part.

When Floyd Mayweather invites you for a night out in Las Vegas, you know it will be extraordinary. Picture this: the neon lights of the strip reflecting off luxury cars, the pulsating energy of the city that never sleeps, and ‘Money Mayweather’ at the centre of it all.

From exclusive cigar lounges to high-roller tables, this was no ordinary night out. We sipped ‘Good Money Whiskey’ and indulged in caviar before discussing Mayweather’s relationship with his father, the key moments in his career, the current crop of boxers, and his exhibition earnings.

In true Mayweather style, he arrived at Eight Lounge, a chic cigar spot, in a blacked-out SUV, wearing a £2,000 Gucci jacket and a gleaming Rolex. Fans clamoured for photos as he was greeted by models holding sparklers and a glowing Mayweather sign.

‘I do like the finer things in life’, Mayweather quipped when asked about his love for luxury. ‘I enjoy my cars and my watches but money don’t make me, I make money.

‘I don’t just keep all the money either, I give back to the less fortunate. My mother don’t want for nothing, my loved ones don’t want for anything. My team live a pretty good life. They travel the world, stay at five star hotels. But, the most important thing is, we are happy. I was happy before I made money. With or without money I am a happy person.’

A fixture on the Vegas Strip with his 7,000-square-foot gentleman’s club and top-tier boxing gym, Mayweather took charge behind the bar, crafting an Old Fashioned cocktail with his Good Money Whiskey – a brand now available in 10 states including Nevada, California, and Florida.

When handed the five-year-old whiskey, Mayweather joked, ‘She’s come all the way from the UK, and you’re giving her the five-year-old whiskey? She deserves the 10-year!’

Though not drinking himself, Mayweather passed the cocktail with a knowing smile. ‘It’s just like boxing,’ he said confidently. ‘I had the best team, so I got the best results. I’ve got the best team working on my brands, too. Just try it and you’ll see.’

With a drink in hand, we moved to Mayweather’s exclusive area, adorned with Le Bon Argent Champagne and attentive waitresses ensuring my glass was always full. Intrigued by highlight reels of his career playing on the screens above head, I asked the boxing legend about his favorite memory.

‘I’m not sure which one was my favourite fight but the best fighter I ever fought probably was Manny Pacquiao. I can see why he won so many fights, it’s all the moves he would make. But, I reckon to roughest fight I ever had was Emanuel Augustus, he was very tough competitor. When I faced him, I think he was 26 with 14 losses but extremely tough.

‘That being said, I think around half of my 50 fights were world title fights, so they were all good fights’.

Mayweather faced and defeated some of the biggest names in boxing, including Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya, and Canelo Alvarez. He also claimed world titles in five different weight classes: Super Featherweight, Lightweight, Light Welterweight, Welterweight, and Light Middleweight.

But the true highlight of his career was walking away unharmed—a poignant topic given his father and uncle, Roger, both suffered neurological damage resulting in memory loss.

‘The real highlight of my career is that I am still able to communicate. That I am still able to speak well. I am still able to read and write. I am able to spend time with my children and I am able to travel. I still have all my faculties. That’s the part about my career I am most pleased with. Not everyone gets that luxury and I’ve seen it first hand.’

Mayweather’s relationship with his father has been complex but pivotal. Mayweather Sr. was instrumental in shaping his son’s career, developing the defensive style that became his hallmark. Despite public disagreements and periods of estrangement, their bond remains strong.

‘My dad was my inspiration growing up. Without my dad I wouldn’t have any of this. Without my dad I wouldn’t have the crazy real estate portfolio I have. I wouldn’t have met my two best friends, James McNair and Ricki Brazil. I wouldn’t be here with you today. My dad is my driving force, my dad is everything to me.’

A stark contrast to when Mayweather lashed out at his father in 2011, shouting: ‘You couldn’t fight for s***. You weren’t nothing but a motherf***ing cab driver… bum a** trainer. You weren’t s*** as a fighter, so how you gonna be something as a trainer. Get the f*** out my gym f*****t!’.

While other kids played, Mayweather’s childhood was a whirlwind of responsibilities, juggling time between caring for his drug-addict mother and training with his father.

Floyd Mayweather has conquered the ring but now he has ventured into the world of luxury spirits... here's what happened when we opened a bottle of the boxing icon's Good Money Whiskey |

‘My dad was about business, ever since I was a kid. From 1985, my dad had me running five miles a day. He wouldn’t let me run in sneakers either. He made me run five miles every day in combat boots while I was a child.

‘He also brought me out into the garden and made me chop wood. He always told me, there is no room for excuses. He said no matter how many fights you win, it’s never good enough, you can always get better. There is always room for growth.

‘But, my dad gave me structure. He helped mould me into the man I am today. A man of honour, a man of dignity. A stand-up guy. A person that believes he can get better. It’s all because of my father.’

As we chatted, one of Floyd’s friend casually offered spoonfuls of caviar around the room. This wasn’t your average caviar; it was the kind that likely costs more than my entire monthly salary. The nonchalant manner in which it was served, however, made it seem like an everyday snack.

Meanwhile, Eddie Griffin, a comedian from American sitcom Malcolm & Eddie, flitted around the room casually cracking jokes before diving into the high-stakes action at the casino tables.

Having accompanied him to the high-roller area, I watched in awe as players casually dropped $500k per round on craps. It was clear I’d be spectating rather than participating in this high-rolling spectacle.

While Mayweather wasn’t one to splurge at the tables, he was exceptionally generous with his tips. When $500 slipped from his pocket, he handed it to a waitress without hesitation and quickly pulled out another $500 for her colleague, making sure everyone felt appreciated.

Mayweather’s wealth stems from his boxing prowess. Known for his defensive mastery and unmatched ring IQ, he earned the nickname ‘Pretty Boy’ for his flawless, unmarked face. He firmly believes no boxer will ever match his unique skills.

‘There will never be another boxer like me because my IQ was just on another level. You’ve got guys that have fast hands, you’ve got guys who have great punching power but they will never compete with my IQ.

‘My IQ was just on a whole different level. I could make adjustments that other people wouldn’t be able to do. Go look at the Shane Mosley fight. Guy hit me with a couple of good shots, I came back the next round a put on a master class.

‘I was zoned in and new exactly what he was going to do. I didn’t hear the crowd, I didn’t hear my trainer, I just listened to myself. I knew exactly what he was going to do. I had the ability to turn a fight on it’s head like that. Completely change the dynamic of a fight. That’s what it takes, a sharp mind, a good chin and the heart of a lion.’

Yet, despite his undefeated boxing record (50-0) and iconic status, Mayweather acknowledged personal defeats beyond the ring.

‘Losing my uncle was a defeat. Losing my grandmother was a defeat. Losing my housekeeper of 20-something years was a defeat. Losing the mother of my children was a defeat. Losing my best friend was a defeat. I have been defeated in ways like that. Everything you go through in life is an experience you can grow from. I just try to use those experiences to become stronger every day.’

Mayweather’s resilience in the face of such personal trials is mirrored in his approach to the racism he faced during his career.

‘You’re going to get racism and you’re going to have to deal with it. I knew I was going to deal with it but that never stopped me from being who I wanted to be. It never stopped me from believing in myself.

‘It was never going to stop me from taking myself to the top. I knew I was the best and nothing was going to hold me back. There are many fighters that will come after me that will experience the same thing.

‘I want them to be great and I don’t want them to be held back by it. I want them to surpass me if they can. Records are there to be broken but there will never be another Floyd Mayweather. I know that for a fact.’

Even in retirement, Mayweather keeps his love for boxing alive through exhibition bouts, taking on the likes of Deji Olatunji, Tenshin Nasukawa, and Logan Paul.

However, the pinnacle was his 2017 clash with MMA’s Conor McGregor. While Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and LeBron James collectively earned $259 million that year, Mayweather surpassed that sum in a single night, shattering boxing’s pay-per-view record with 6.5 million buys.

‘People have such a problem with my exhibitions. Jeff Bezos is well off but he’s still working. Warren Buffett, he’s probably in his 90’s now and he’s still working. The Walton’s who own Walmart are still working. Elon Musk is still working. So, it’s okay for me to work.

‘There is no risk with these exhibitions. I am taking on former MMA guys and YouTubers. They can’t get near me. It’s not a crime for me to have some fun with them and entertain the crowd.

‘I feel like I deserve it. I am still one of the most talked fighters in the sport of boxing and I’m not even boxing professionally anymore. So, it’s only right I am getting the payday to match it. I have plenty of offers I could show you on my phone. $300million, $100million, $50million, $20million, $17million. They are all offers sat on my phone right now. It all depends but if you pay, we play. It’s as simple as that.’

Despite having the potential to rake in $300million from an exhibition bout and being nicknamed ‘Money Mayweather,’ the 47-year-old had a hilariously human moment at the end of our night out.

Just as Brits might hit a kebab shop on their way home, Mayweather popped into the local doughnut shop. After ordering two boxes of doughnuts, Mayweather was floored when he was told the total would be $90.

Pulling out a thick wad of cash, he went to pay before pausing dramatically, spreading the bills across his hands and playfully quipping ‘I’ve got the money, I just don’t want to spend it!’.

Mayweather will return to the ring this summer for a rematch against John Gotti III – the grandson of the late mob boss – having first faced the 31-year-old back in June 2023, with the fight ending in chaos after a brawl broke out when people stormed the ring.
