The Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight has left the internet buzzing for various reasons. While the fans are excited about this ultimate clash at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, they are also worried about Tyson. It’s due to the recent health issue the former heavyweight champion is going through.
A few months ago, Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up, which delayed the fight from July 20 to November 15. Even though ‘Iron’ has received a medical green light, he is almost 60. Entering into the ring against a 27-year-old is still very risky. The fandom unanimously shares a feeling of concern. Even Tim Welch, head coach and cornerman of UFC fighter Sean O’Malley, was worried and speculated a ‘no-knockout’ clause for the sake of Tyson’s well-being.
Tim Welch’s bizarre speculation
On his latest Red Hawk Recap podcast episode, Welch sat down with Joe Riggs and his other friends to discuss various topics. During the episode, he mentioned that on November 15, his entire group would watch the Mike Tyson-Jake Paul fight, followed by a huge sigh. “Hopefully we don’t see a death there,” stated Welch, with a worried look on his face.
They were glad that both boxers would use the 14-ounce gloves, which would subdue the blow of the punches substantially. “I believe yeah I hope supposedly they have bigger gloves on which is good uh I just hope Mike Tyson doesn’t get hurt,” stated Riggs.
That is when Warlike jumped in and suggested that there might be a no-knockout clause in the contract.
